Sahagun to El Burgo Ranero (18km) and El Burgo Ranero to Mansilla de las Mulas (19km)
Some days on the Camino are just not that exciting. The last two fit into this category.
To entertain ourselves we decided to listen to Australian country music. Think Kasey Chambers, John Williamson, Slim Dusty. Did you know Slim Dusty’s The man from Snowy River goes for hours?
There were no pilgrims to talk to today. And no dogs to cuddle so…here’s a statue of a pilgrim…

The same happened on the way to Mansilla. We skipped on the Aussie music (because honestly…) and just walked.
We saw and heard the storks as we were leaving El burgo.

We arrived in Mansilla in time for the local market. Bought some lovely cherries to munch on. Garlic here is 3 euro a kilo!

A storm hit this afternoon during siesta time.
PS: my feet are holding up well. Only one small blister. However I’m likely to lose a couple of toe nails…a small price to pay 🤣
