There I hope that satisfies those who were eager to see them – ugliness in action crossing the bridge at Puenta la Reina!
We left Larrasoana early morning – funny how you develop a routine. Most days we head off around 7 and have breakfast at the next town, usually about 5km away. Breakfast is always a bocadillo con jamón. I love them. I will never not love them. Of this I am certain. So when we stopped at Zurlain and I settled down to enjoy my bocadillo…an unexpected visitor…

This pleased me no end. Not even in the spirit of the Camino will I let a cat take my bocadillo!
Our destination today was Cizor Menor – a hamlet 5 km out of Pamplona. Because we had already spent time in Pamplona on the way to SJPP, we thought we would just move on. We caught up with some of our Camino family walking into Pamplona. Bill and his daughter Daria from the US. I can’t explain how good it is to run into people you ‘know’. We met them in Orisson. Conversation is easy and time passes quickly.
People here in Spain take great pride in the appearance of their houses. We saw a row of houses on our way into Pamplona that were decorated with shells.

We arrived in Pamplona and I finally offloaded (sent home) the souvenirs I bought along the way and a raincoat I will never use. My pack is now 1.6kg lighter. It’s amazing how little you need. On our walk out of Pamplona the lovely Magdalena on her bike stopped us to wish us a Buen Camino and give us some prayer cards for our journey. Today’s miracle – the kindness of strangers.

Onward to Cizor Menor. It was a forgettable town. Nothing more to add.
